MANUAL THERAPY TECHNIQUES

I take a holistic approach to caring for my patients. I seek out and address the root causes, not just the symptoms of pains and ailments.

I offer a unique blend of traditional massage and medical massage techniques, along with a variety of complementary healing modalities to restore health.

My work is designed to restore balance, function, and re-educate the body to a healthier alignment.

Back Massage

SWEDISH AND DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep tissue techniques use slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury, and reduce muscle tension. Deep tissue massage will work out the knots from stressed, overworked muscles and connective tissue to alleviate immediate pain, as well as chronic joint and muscle pain. It also promotes faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Neck and Shoulder Massage

MYOSKELETAL ALIGNMENT TECHNIQUES

A hands-on technique developed by Erik Dalton to restore function and relieve pain in the body by reminding the brain and nerves how to bring balance to the body.

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY

Neuromuscular release (NMR) targets muscles that are tense when at rest and restricts range of motion or cause pain. Once the problem areas have been identified, alternating trigger point, positional release, and proprioceptive techniques can decrease chronic pain and increase range of motion. The recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.

Head Massage

LYMPH DRAINAGE THERAPY

This can be used in conjunction with other alternative therapies. It takes into account the whole person and helps activate each patient’s natural healing processes as well as restoring their physical and emotional well-being.

Yoga Class

YOGA

By using Hatha yoga postures and breathing techniques, alongside manual therapy, greater freedom of movement can be found in the body.
